The Feed In Tariffs generates income in 3 ways:
You will save on your electricity bill as you import less from the grid for producing your own electricity from your roof.

The government feed in tariff pays you for every unit of electricity generated from your solar PV system. This is logged on a meter installed by us and the rate for each unit is 21p a kwh (unit).

Your supplier pays an export tariff of 3p per unit for electricity which is not used in the home.
